Artist or Vandal? Singapore decides

We may be wrong, but we don’t recall an incident like this happening in Singapore before so here it is. A 25 year old artist posted stickers and sprayed “My Grandfather Road” graffiti (in this case, Singapore’s grandfather Lee Kuan Yew) all over public spots and roads in Singapore, got caught – naughty tumblr naughty – and now faces up to 3 years’ imprisonment.

We doubt, or at least we sure hope, she doesn’t get 3 years jail – that’d be Uniquely Singapore indeed. The authorities might just ask her to clean her art up and send the press in for photo opps.

  1. People get less for beating children or rape, I think it’s disgusting that a few stickers could lead to 3 years in prison. Personally I like it, I think it adds color to an otherwise lifeless urban landscape.
