Turf Dreams

I was first attracted to the floodlights when I travelled along the highway heading home from work every Friday evening. The lights hypnotised me from as far as I could see them. They looked small from afar, but almost near that I could reach, touch and feel their aura and warmth.

It appears that all who flock there are much like me, moths hypnotised by the promise of hope. Some win, most leave to return another night. Eyes drawn to the bright lights hopeful once again.
