Call For Submissions: Taiwan & Hong Kong Photography
I am currently curating a showcase of Taiwan and Hong Kong Documentary Photography for the main Slideshow Programme of the 11th Edition Angkor Photo Festival to be held 5th – 12th December 2015. We are looking to add to our shortlist of photographers to be showcased to Southeast Asian audiences at the region’s longest running and respected photography festival. The festival is a free international platform and educational resource for established and emerging photographers and remains strongly committed to nurturing and promoting young Asian talent, and encouraging the development of photography in the region.
When we talk about photography from East Asia, China and Japan usually dominates conversations and we are exposed to much from these two territories. The invitation by Angkor Photo Festival to curate an evening of slideshows is an opportunity I hope to take to introduce great work from Taiwan and Hong Kong to Southeast Asian audiences.
This is a call for submissions for photographers from Taiwan and Hong Kong with a body of work in documentary photography. To submit, please send an email to IPA@invisiblephotographer.asia with subject title: ‘Submission: Taiwan and Hong Kong Showcase at Angkor Photo Festival’. Please attach a link to your work online or with an attachment of least 10 images, along with a description and short photographer’s biography. Submissions can be in Chinese or English (preferred). Deadline: 28th July, 2015.
