Invisible Ph t grapher Asia welcomes submissions of Photo Essays or Multimedia Essays in the street photography, documentary or visual journalism genres.

Invisible Blog Feature
Submit a photo essay you’d like us to consider featuring on our main Invisible Ph t grapher Asia Blog. Photo Essays must present a coherent essay in approximately 10 (min) – 20(max) photographs, and be related to Asia by means of geography and/or photographer. The Essay must be accompanied by the following information: Essay Title;  Synopsis; Photographer’s credit & website; Camera or equipment used.

Please submit pictures resized to 1500 pixels on the long side (width for landscape, height for portrait orientation), in JPG or JPEG format, with approximately 90% compression or under 2MB in file size. Include photo captions (if any) in separate text document corresponding with image file name. Please collate and ZIP your essay photographs to one file before submitting. PHOTO ESSAY SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

Send your Photo Essay Submissions with the following information and specifications:

1) Please enter Email Subject as per:

  • IPA Photo Essay Submission: [Your Photo Essay Title]

2) Please include the following Submission Details in your email:

  • Essay Title:
  • Essay Synopsis:
  • Photographer’s Name:
  • Country:
  • Photographer’s Website:
  • Camera/Equipment used:

3) Attach a Zip file of your images (10 – 20) along with a text document with your captions (number accordingly).

4) Send your submissions to [email protected]

You – the Photographer, Artist or Creator – retain all copyright to your work. By submitting your photos, you grant Invisible Photographer Asia (IPA) explicit rights to publish and use your images and submissions on their website and other official communication channels, as and when we deem appropriate. Please note that only successful submission candidates will be featured and may likely be contacted for further information.

  1. I am not Asian but am living in Asia and have done so for the last 14 years. Not all of my work is about Asia. Does the fact that I have lived here for longer than anywhere else define me as “Asian Photographer?”. A lot of my work is about Asia but some that I might consider might not be about Asia but issues affecting humanity irrespective of their ethnic background?

  2. Great site :) Do imges sbmitted have to be from or about Asia? I am in Canada and would love to submit if that is ok.

  3. Hi IPA! I’m quite new to this site, and I plan on submitting some of my photos for the Photo Essay part. I just want to ask about the website part: What if we don’t have a personal website? Can I use my social networking sites (Facebook, Google+, Tumblr) where my body of work is located, in replacement to the supposed website?
