Photographer’s Bio
Born in a small coal-mining village in the Yamaguchi Prefecture located in Western Japan in 1967, Junku Nishimura is a self-taught photographer who first began making photographs when he documented his work environment and peers in his early days as a concrete and building expert. Now based in Nagoya and Yamaguchi in Japan, Junku Nishimura works as a freelance photographer producing images in a masterful blend of classic documentary, art and street photography traditions.
