WORDS FROM PARTNERS
“Since our first collaboration with Invisible Photographer Asia in 2011, it has been wonderful to witness the growth of an initiative that has consistently demonstrated its sincere commitment to photography and photographers in Asia. Through the creative efforts of its tireless founder, Kevin WY Lee, IPA has firmly established itself as an crucial regional platform essential for the development of the photographic industry in Asia.”
Françoise Callier, Angkor Photo Festival & Workshops

“Invisible Photographer Asia is arguably the largest and most vibrant network for photographers in South East Asia, if not the whole region. Kevin WY Lee has built a fantastic space for image makers and those interested in Asian photography to learn and share through a series of regular workshops and events. I am particularly impressed by the IPA Mentorship program and how it nurtures photographic talent. Kevin has been an inspirational partner in helping conceptualise and run our Visualising Social Stories workshops, bringing creative thinking and local knowledge.”
Robert Godden, Rights Exposure

“Kevin WY Lee’s Invisible Photographer Asia (IPA) have been one of the most important organisations in South East Asia in promoting and disseminating photography, particularly in the socio-documentary genre, by the region’s emerging and established photographers. It’s web presence is regularly strengthened by practical workshops and educational programs in various Asian cities.
The IPA Photo Books Show held in Singapore in 2013 in which we attended as a guest contingent from Malaysia proved to be a successful launcher event for several of our young photographers exhibiting and promoting their very first photo books. The opportunity to display, promote and sell their books gave them encouragement and confidence as new artists in the fastest growing sector in photography today, that is photobook publishing. I applaud IPA for taking this initiative head on, and to making it a successful and recurring event.”
Steven Lee, Kuala Lumpur International Photoawards
