These photographs tell of a fleeting story of love, bitter and sweet, and of being lost and found.
Ever since I returned to Vietnam in 2015, I have been trying to find place and belonging in Vietnamese society. The more I look though, the more I feel I will always be a stranger at home– embraced one moment, alienated the next. I feel I am present, yet my absence would hardly be noticed, but by a few.
These photographs tell of a fleeting story of love, bitter and sweet, and of being lost and found.

Excellent work Nguyen Minh Hoang, I really enjoyed this series, some great thought and follow through with the creation of the narrative. A slight edit down in my opinion would make the series perfect.
A page of ‘thank you’s is not enough. Your skill as a photographer and as an artist is more than evident. Genius at work.
