Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra told the crisis had now reached a critical point for Bangkok. The Chao Phraya River is already at record high level in places and many parts of the capital could be in danger by the weekend.///The Rising water level is threatening Wat Phra Kaew or Emerald Buddha.

More Bangkok residents flee as the river level is predicted to rise over the weekend. 1.2 billion cubic meters of northern runoff, about the volume of 480,000 Olympic pools, is expected to arrive in Bangkok along with the arrival of high tides.///Buddhist monks start their alms round in the morning as the water level rises.

Taken during Thailand’s worst flooding in six decades, these following photographs are a visual exploration of the encounter between land and water. As these two worlds collide, I wanted to show the adaptation of those caught in the middle to maintain and continue their daily lives.

This is outstanding piece of photojournalism.. I have friends in thailand and till i saw this, i had no idea how bad this is. thanks for sharing.
