Simply Street

I’m fairly new to street photography (started in late 2010). At first, it seemed odd to take pictures of total strangers. There was also the element of fear – would my subject react badly (would I get punched in the face)? I know I don’t like having my picture taken – but then again, I’m quite shy by nature.

These days though, street photography has become one of my favourite things to do. I still feel a lot like I’m pickpocketing a ‘souvenir’ of a street scene (and someone’s privacy on occasion), but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This series is a selection edited and sequenced by Alex Webb, Rebecca Norris Webb and David Chickey during their Masterclass workshop in Singapore which I attended.
