IPA Special Award at KL International Photoawards 2013

Invisible Ph t grapher Asia is partnering with KL International Photoawards 2013 in June, for the following Special Awards.

PROJECT STORY GRANT

A cash sum of USD$1,000 will be awarded to the photographer whose series entered in the Smartphone Story category is selected by IPA as being worthy of expanding or completing in the next 6 to 12 months. The grant money will assist the recipient photographer to realise his or her project either in a self-published book, exhibition or travelling expenses. Once the project is completed, KLPA and IPA will showcase the work during future events and on their online mediums.

As an added bonus to the grant, IPA will invite the photographer to attend one of several photography workshops planned in the coming year within South East Asia. This invitation includes the waiver of workshop fees only and does not include travel, accommodation and other costs incurred by the recipient.

IPA workshops are most rewarding and productive in learning techniques in street and urban photography, editing and story-telling. Upcoming destinations include Hanoi, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Jakarta, Singapore and Manila, with India, China, Japan and Malaysia also planned.

HIGHLY COMMENDED UNDER-21 MALAYSIAN PHOTOGRAPHER PRIZES

To highlight and encourage Malaysian youth photography within an international context, KLPA will be awarding three Highly Commended cash prizes worth RM1,000, RM750 and RM500 to Malaysian contestants under 21 years of age selected from both categories.
