Hey Philippines, we’re finally coming over for a visit! Join us for IPA PHOTO CAMP MANILA, taking place in the capital city of Philippines from 16th to 19th August 2013. Held over 4 solid days, the photo camp program includes a street photography workshop, a documentary photography seminar and one public night of photography slideshows.

1) IPA Street Photography Workshop, MANILA

Friday 16th – Sunday 18th August 2013

An intensive 3 day workshop in Manila, Philippines designed by Invisible Photographer Asia (IPA) for serious beginners to intermediate photographers who want to appreciate and study street photography, and apply learnings to their own personal photography.

The course will include portfolio reviews and explore concepts from practical photography to editing and curation. Participants will develop their skills and photographic voice in tune with the practice and sensibilities of contemporary street photography. The workshop will be led and mentored by Kevin WY Lee, founder of IPA, along with Japanese Photographer Junku Nishimura and Manila’s own Carlo Gabuco.

Documentary Photography Seminar, Manila

2) Documentary Photography Seminar, MANILA

This one day introductory seminar is designed for young photographers who wish to pursue documentary photography and develop meaningful photographic essays and projects as part of their practice. The seminar will provide participants with valuable insight into finding and crafting photo stories, working in the field, and editing their work. The program includes lectures and presentations from Veejay Villafranca and Jes Aznar, 2 leading contemporary photojournalists working in Philippines. Participants will also have their portfolio and/or projects reviewed with critique, feedback and advice from seminar mentors.

IPA Plug & Play MANILA

3) IPA Plug & Play Slideshow Night, MANILA

7:30PM, Saturday, 17th August 2013

IPA PLUG & PLAY Slideshow Nights are informal nights of curated photography slideshows, dialogue and exchange presented by Invisible Ph t grapher Asia. In this Manila Edition, presenters for the night include Geric Cruz, Veejay Villafranca, and Jes Aznar from Philippines, along with special guest Junku Nishimura from Japan.

Attendance is FREE and Open to Public.
