IPA Street Photography Asia Award 2013 Finalist 10/16:
VITALIY VLASYUK, HONG KONG/UKRAINE

Biography
I’m Ukrainian born photographer, based in Hong Kong. Now I’m working on a long-term project about Lan Kwai Fong (LKF).
Cramped living space in Hong Kong apartments has been an ongoing housing problem for ages in one of the richest cities in the world. So instead of going home after work most people choose doing “social activity”: shopping, dining or hanging out. And when they need joy, they definitely head to LFK.
Lan Kwai Fong is a small square of streets in Central, the economic and financial center of Hong Kong. It’s dominated by white-collar workers, foreigners, and many of them come here every day: for happy hour or in the evening – to their home of fun and joy.
