A late addition to the IPA Photo Books Show 2013 was Ying Ang’s delicate Sentire to Feel artist zine. Ying Ang is a Singaporean photographer based between Melbourne, Singapore and New York. Ying is part of the MJR collective and represented by MoST.
I had a chat with Ying and she mentioned her upcoming monograph on the ‘glitz and rust’ of Australia’s Gold Coast, where she spent much of her life. She has a great designer on-board and the photo book is due out next year – one to look out for in our next Show edition if it does.
Meanwhile, “Sentire is a meditation on the ephemeral nature of the passing of time and the transience of momentary happenings, their fragility and their preciousness.”
