My work is about a search, of fireflies. One day a glimpse of childhood memory came to my mind that I used to see fireflies in front of my home.
I got interested about the memory which I could hardly visualize. I read a poem about ‘Fireflies’ written by Robert Frost & it inspired me to go out to find them. I was looking for things which glows in the dark.
I did this work while I was doing the international semester program run by Pathshala South Asian Media Institute in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Poem: ‘Fireflies’ by Robert Frost
Here come real stars to fill the upper skies,
And here on earth come emulating flies,
That though they never equal stars in size,
(And they were never really stars at heart)
Achieve at times a very star-like start.
Only, of course, they can’t sustain the part.
