2018 Art Award Finalist
Town Boy, by Sathish Kumar
I choose photography because it gives me the freedom to live my life in my own way. With photography, I want to record my everyday existence, of all my encounters and journeys to create an expression of myself, of my life and of the world around me. When I started exploring what I could do with photography, I started trying to push my boundaries to explore what I really believe is my voice. First, I started working on my home (last days of my father). Town Boy (vol.1) is what I worked on next. Town Boy talks about my experiments of my photography from my college days to present day.
